Setting Up the Shipping Rate
QuoteWerks is able to pull real-time shipping rates from FedEx and UPS. The setup is under the Tools-> Options-> Real-time-> Real-time Setup-> Shipping tab:
Click on the Setup button to get started.
Defaults Tab
The Defaults tab enables users to set a couple of defaults for the price modifer and the packaging type. Setting a default price modifier will automatically apply that price modifier to the shipping charge when you add the shipping rate charge to the document. You can choose to use markup or margin to calculate the shipping price based on cost. For example, if you wanted to mark up shipping 10% you would use M10.
The Packaging default can be set to box, envelope, package, pak or tube. Simply select the one you use the most when shipping your products and each time you add a new shipping charge to the document this default packaging type will be set.
