Converting a Quote to an Order

Print this Topic Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Once a customer accepts a quote, you can choose to convert the quote document to an order document. You can convert your quote to an order by selecting the File -> Convert to Order menu.

Converting a quote to an order in QuoteWerks is important so that in reports you can distinguish quotes from orders. For example, you can create management reports to include only open quotes (and not orders) during the month of November. This will enable you to have a snapshot of the current quoting pipeline.

Create Multiple Purchase Orders from one order

After you have converted your quote to an order, QuoteWerks can automatically create a separate purchase order for each vendor on your quote saving you a tremendous amount of time.

When selecting the option to print multiple purchase orders, you will now be prompted with a window that lets you choose which vendors you want to create purchase orders for.  In addition, QuoteWerks now lets you preview the purchase orders one at a time before moving on to the next purchase order.
