Issue:
I am trying to run NSetup on a new workstation and the computer is locking up, freezing (hangs), or becomes unresponsive. Cause: Your Anti-virus or other similar security software is interferring with the NSetup. Solution: Temporarily disable your anti-virus, as well any other background applications that may be interferring, such as firewall, anti-spyware programs, pop-up blockers, chat-programs, etc. Note: We have had several users report that this behavior occurred when Symantec Corporate Edition was installed on the machine. The solution was to disable the service, and in some extreme cases, it was reported that it was necessary to uninstall it. |
