Issue:
When creating an opportunity in ACT! 2005/2006/2007/2008, you receive the following error (or similar): "The creation of the ACT! sales opportunity failed! Parameter USER 1 failed to set its value to type Decimal." Some similiar errors received are: "Parameter USER 2 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 3 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 4 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 5 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 6 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 7 failed to set its value to type Decimal." "Parameter USER 8 failed to set its value to type Decimal." Cause: Using the ACT! Tools|Define fields menu, you have changed the field type of one of the user defined fields in the opportunity table to a field type other than "Character". Sage confirms this is a bug in the ACT! 2005/2006/2007/20 |
