Question:
How are .dtf files linked for ACT! 4.0, 5.0/2000, 6.0 and ACT! 2005/7.0, 2006/8.0? Answer: When using versions 4.0, 5.0/2000, or 6.0 ACT! does not store the .dtf files on its own, but links the documents under the Notes/History tab via the QuoteWerks \DTF folder. To find this information in QuoteWerks, click Help > About > System Tab > DTF Write to Path. Example: c:\program files\quotewerks\dtf\aaaq1001.dtf -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When using versions 2005/7.0 or 2006/8.0, ACT! stores the file in a folder called \Attachments. This folder is located in the ACT! Supplemental File and stores all of the files linked under the Documents tab in ACT!. To locate this folder in ACT!: Click Help -> About -> Database Info button then scroll down the Database Settings Information list and select the Supplemental File Location. This will show you the physical path within your operating system. To find this information in QuoteWerks, click Help -> About -> System Tab -> DTF Write to Path (you can click on the path to open the folder). |
