Question:
What is the difference between a Quote, Order, and Invoice and what would they be used for? Answer: Quote - Initially created for a customer to look at to see if they want to purchase. You can make changes and revisions to this initial quote if needed. Order - You convert from a quote to an order if the customer decides to purchase based on that quote. Invoice - You convert to an invoice once the order has been fulfilled which you then send to the customer so they know to send payment unless you receive payment upon the order. If the order has been paid for, the invoice can serve as the receipt. |
