Issue:
When entering a long number into a custom number field such as 1234567890123456, the custom number field changes to 1.23456789012346E+15. After the 16th digit is entered, the number changes to a truncated scientific notation value. Cause: The QuoteWerks Custom Number Field is a Double. To quote a Microsoft article: "a Double value contains 15 decimal digits of precision" - http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.double.aspx Solution: Try using a Custom Text Field. If you need to perform numeric operations on the number, you can use the toNumber function in your formula. |
