Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 4
Issue:
The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file . It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view the data.

Message may also contain "Error number 3051".

Cause:

The user does not have sufficient rights to the QuoteWerks directory.

Solution:

1) To test the permissions, close QuoteWerks on all systems and then browse to the main QuoteWerks folder and open it.

2) Go up to File then select New, and then text document. If this user is unable to create the document, they do not have rights to write to the directory.

3) Next, right click on one of the .b01, .b02 files and left click rename (you can test this with one of the .mdb files if there are no .bXX files available). Should the user be unable to rename the file then they do not have the rights to rename in the directory.

If the either steps 2 or step 3 result in errors, permissions need to be increased for this user. You may need to adjust permission settings on both the Sharing tab and on the Security tab of the Properties window.

4) If no errors occur on step 2 or 3, check to see if any files are flagged as read only within the QuoteWerks. If they are, uncheck that option and try again.
