Version 24.0 Build 4
Question:
How do I convert text to a number for use in calculations?

Solution:
1. In the print layout designer, select the Insert-Formula field menu.
2. Enter a name for the formula field.
3. Insert the following formula:
tonumber(DocumentItems->CustomText01)

Notes:
The formula can be entered by:
1. Clicking on Function-Tonum
2. Data Field-Document Items Table-CustomText01
