How does QuoteWerks do price comparisons? Solution: To use the vendor price comparison features, you setup a separate product database for each vendor that you purchase from. You can do this under the ProductsSetup Product Databases menu. Next, make sure that you have a unique manufacturer part # in the manufacture part # field when you enter the products into the product databases. That is how QuoteWerks finds the same part in each vendor's database. Once this is all setup, you could add up to 300 products to a quote, and then run the ToolsRefresh with Best Price menu option. This will update each line item with the vendor that has the lowest cost for each of the line items. |
