When converting a Quote to an Order you will be presented with the opportunity to create a ConnectWise project.
Here you can choose to copy All Items, All Items except Agreement Items, or Only Phased Groups to a project. If you select <None> a project will not be created.
If you have chosen to copy any items to a project the following window will appear after converting the opportunity:
Project: Here you can choose to create a new project or link to an existing project in ConnectWise. Clicking the button will bring you to the existing project in ConnectWise if one is selected.
Project Type: This field pulls the project types from ConnectWise and allows you choose which one to use.
Project Name: This defaults to the document name, but can be edited to whatever makes the most sense for your business.
Est. Start: This is the estimated start date for the project and will default to the date on which the opportunity was converted.
Est. End: This is the estimated end date for the project and will default to the expiration date as set on the Sale Info tab.
Project Board: Here you can select which project board you would like this project to be associated with.
Project Manager: This is the user in ConnectWise who will be assigned as the project manager.
After you make your selections and hit [Save] your newly created project will then be listed under the conversions tab in the ConnectWise Opportunity:
Clicking on that project will bring up the project record as seen below:
