Another option is to use the QuoteWerks API to create a link between the applications. The SDK includes a sample program that shows you how easily you can accomplish this.

| Tip: | When we offer a contact management integration with the above software packages, we generally refer to them as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. It's important, however, to note some distinctions. QuickBooks and Sage 50 (Peachtree) are, in fact, accounting software packages; Autotask and ConnectWise are Professional Services Automation (PSA) software packages. PSA software, in addition to having CRM functionality, will also have time-tracking, ticketing, and billing features. |

The simplest level of contact management integration is to retrieve contact information from a contact manager and place it into a quote, order, or invoice in QuoteWerks. QuoteWerks provides this level of integration for all of the supported contact managers. QuoteWerks also provides additional write-back integration with some of the supported contact managers, which will be covered later in this Chapter.
To choose the contact manager that you will be using with QuoteWerks, select the Contacts -> Setup Contact Manager menu:
