For MS CRM users, you can now create a new MS CRM Company record from the QuoteWerks SoldTo/ShipTo tab using the information already entered on the SoldTo/ShipTo tab. For the feature to be enabled, the SoldTo field cannot already be populated with a contact that was retrieved from MS CRM. Also, the Company field and Contact field must both be populated. This feature is available on the toolbar above the SoldTo, ShipTo, and BillTo areas of the Quote WorkBook. There is also an Access Right "CannotCreateCRMContact" that you can set if you do not want specific users to be able to use this feature.

When sending emails you can now control where/how the email is logged in your CRM. For ACT!, ACT! for Web, GoldMine, Maximizer, and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the CRM record for the SoldTo contact. Previously this would happen behind the scenes automatically, whereas now you have more control over it. For GoldMine and MS CRM you can choose to log the sent email under the E-Mail recipient contact record in GoldMine or MS CRM respectively.

Attach File to CRM feature. With this feature you can automatically and manually attach files to your CRM. When emailing a quote to your customer as a PDF file, the PDF file will automatically be attached. When uploading a quote to QuoteValet and Emailing the customer the notification, the PDF file of the quote will automatically be attached. You can manually attach a file to your CRM by right clicking on a file in the Links tab, on the Print Preview window, and also from the Print window Save as PDF option. This makes the PDF version of the quote viewable by any colleagues that have access to the CRM record without having to have QuoteWerks installed. Particularly useful for the service or technical side of the business having access to the details of the job that was quoted. This new feature is turned on by default and can be controlled with the setting "[]Automatically attach PDF sent to customer by E-Mail or QuoteValet to the CRM Account or Opportunity." located on the Print tab of the Tools->Options menu.When using this feature with Autotask, ConnectWise, salesforce.com, you need to attach the quote to an opportunity first. Once the quote is associated with the CRM opportunity, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM Opportunity. When using this feature with ACT! 2005+, GoldMine, Outlook, Outlook BCM, MS CRM, Maximizer 10+, SugarCRM, and SalesLogix you need to link the quote to a CRM contact first. Once the quote is linked with the CRM contact, QuoteWerks knows to automatically attach the PDF to the CRM contact.

For MS CRM users, when attempting to schedule an activity for a sales opportunity that was created by QuoteWerks would receive an error "An unhandled exception occurred during the execution...". This will no longer happen for any new sales opportunities created in MS CRM by QuoteWerks. Existing opportunities in MS CRM will still have this problem unless they are updated by QuoteWerks.

QuoteWerks Corporate Edition now supports MS CRM v1.2. The integration includes: a) From within QuoteWerks you can search for a MS CRM contact or account and pull that information into the quote. b) The QuoteWerks DataLink feature can be used with MS CRM enabling you to retrieve information like Terms and shipping method from the MS CRM account or contact into the quote. c) QuoteWerks will create/update sales opportunities in MS CRM and will also close opportunities as Won or Lost. d) QuoteWerks will create/update a follow up call in MS CRM. e) When printing, QuoteWerks can retrieve data from MS CRM and include it in the printed output.
